Amazon Says The Honey Browser Extension Is a Security Risk

In a major plot twist, Amazon is calling the Honey Browser Extension a security risk. However, this might not be true.

Customers who have the extension installed are receiving alerts, which states the extension is “tracking your private shopping habits, and collecting data such as order history”.

Here’s the thing – Yes, they collect some information. However, it’s hardly a security risk. The data its collects helps it improve their service, as well as save people money online. Heck, I even use the browser extension myself. It’s a really nice tool. Thankfully, they have also come forward to assure customers there is nothing to worry about.

If you are looking to save money on your purchases online, the extension is available for Chrome and Firefox.
