After years of waiting, fans of the Diablo series can finally put down the pitchforks. Today, Blizzard has announced Diablo IV.
The last game in the franchise was released back in 2012, so this is a big deal. During Blizzcon, the company gave us a sneak peek into the game with two different videos. One of them is the announcement Cinematic, which can be seen below.
The other is a gameplay trailer, which you can also see here. When the game launches, it’s aim will be to “recreate the dark roots’ of the original games.
Here’s what we do know about the game, so far: There will be three classes – the barbarian, the sorceress, and the druid. The game also takes place many years after Diablo 3.
We don’t know of an official release date for Diablo IV yet, but it’s expected to launch for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. When we hear of an official release date, we will update you. In the meantime, check out the gameplay trailer below!
I’ve never played any of the Diablo games, and this looks fun. It reminds me of games like Dark Souls and Darksiders. I just might have to try it out.
