A while back, we learned that Adobe Flash was getting nuked away from the Internet. To be honest, that’s a good thing. It’s full of security issues, which can even allow 3rd parties to install files into your computer without your knowledge. As of January 1st, Abobe has removed Flash from existence. However, that didn’t mean it was fully removed from websites and applications.
Today, Mozilla Firefox has also helped contribute to the end of Flash. As of Firefox version 85, Firefox Flash support doesn’t exist within the application. Now that Flash doesn’t exist in both of the web’s most popular browsers, services and websites will have to switch to HTML5.
Moving forward from here, hopefully we can start to make a safer internet for everyone. Now that Firefox flash support is dead, hopefully more companies will get the idea.
