The New Google Photos “Memories” Feature Will Take You Back

On Facebook, you are sometimes reminded of older photos that you have posted. Depending on what you post, this can be good or it can remind you of your strange younger-years.  Google Photos will now also do something similar, in a new feature called “Memories”.

In a Google Blog post, Director Shimrit Ben-Yair announced the feature is available starting today. Once inside the Google Photos application, your memories will display on top. For people who love taking photos, something like this can make all the difference. It’s a great way to look back, and share moments with your friends.

Alongside this announcement, Google is also partnering with CVS and Walmart to offer printing services. Customers can choose from small 4×6 prints, or even order a canvas print. This is available in more than 11,000 locations, and will surely expand in the future.
