Everyone in the gaming community has heard of the Fortnite streamer, Ninja. Tyler “Ninja” Blevins amassed over 14 million followers on Twitch. In August he took his stream to Microsoft’s streaming platform, Mixer.
It’s been two months since Ninja moved to Mixer and it doesn’t seem to have put a dent in the Twitch viewership. Mixer has seen an increase in their streamers, but their viewership is still far behind Twitch.
With so many platforms to choose from, viewers will most likely go where their favorite streamers are. Of the 14 million viewers Ninja accumulated on Twitch, only 2.3 have followed him to Mixer.
Twitch continues to lead the pack as far as streamers and viewers go. This doesn’t mean another platform couldn’t take its place. It would just require a lot of work for anyone to top Twitch.
