Mozilla Is Urging Firefox Users To Update Right Now

Firefox

If you are using Firefox as your default browser, it’s important that you update right now. Mozilla has reported that hackers are using a vulnerability to access computers.

The vulnerability was found in the Firefox just-in-time compiler, by a Chinese security company called Qihoo 360. The compiler usually helps speed up performance of JavaScript, which helps websites load faster.  However, Qihoo 360 discovered that it can allow malicious code to run outside of the browser.

Mozilla has patched this issue on the latest release. If you are running Firefox 72 or lower, it’s time for you to upgrade. If the browser hasn’t automatically updated to version 72.0.1 yet, you can do so in the browser settings.

Stay safe, Internet Friends!
