The Internet Archive Released 2,500 New Classic Games

Internet Archive

If you are a retro gamer, we have good news – some of the older MS-DOS games are now available on the Internet Archive. Lots of these games were released back in the ’90s, when gaming was starting to become a household standard.

Right now, the Internet Archive houses 6,934 classic games – all which are played in your browser. They have classics such as Sim City, Pac-Man, and Castle Wolfenstein.

While we can’t list all of the games, here’s a quick list of some you should try:

  • WipEout
  • Tankgame
  • Stellar Stryker
  • Robots from Hell
  • Scrabble
  • Pearl Harbor
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator
  • Creation
  • 3D Trek
  • 3D Ball
  • Airline Simulator
  • Chaos Control
  • Elder Scrolls Adventures, The Redguard

Taking a peek at some of these reminds us of how far technology has come. Back then, graphics were nothing like they are today. Certainly, not everyone will enjoy these older games. However, they can still be fun. Let’s not forget, games are made fun through experiences and gameplay – not how well they look graphically.
