Earlier today, Amazon announced the next version of the Fire – the Fire HD 10. While it doesn’t launch until October 30th, we have loads of details.
First of all, the biggest change here is speed. It has a 2.0Ghz octa-core processor, along with 2GB of RAM. Hopefully, this new boost will allow the tablet to finally be faster than previous generations.
The Fire HD 10 also includes a larger battery – According to Amazon, the device can last up to 12 hours on a single charge.
Once again, the cameras seem to be the same as always. Don’t expect much – both have 2MP and 720p HD video recording technologies.
Just like previous generations, the device also includes Alexa. However, Amazon has taken another step forward this time – you can finally use Alexa when the tablet is in standby mode.
On the plus side, customers who pre-order before October 30th will receive Minecraft for free.
